Pre GDPR
Before GDPR there were no limits about what could be done with your personal data. A survey about holidays could lead to cold calling for double glazing. Your kid’s mobile number could end up on a database for insurance claims when they can’t drive yet. The situation felt wrong, out of control and harmful. Companies had huge customer databases that were large, unmanageable and out of date. Often for products that were no longer produced for customers who no longer needed them. That can’t be efficient and effective use of anyone’s time, money or resources.
GDPR makes a lot of sense
